The 54th edition of the Oscar dell’imballaggio, dedicated to Quality Design, awarded those company who were able to deliver solutions in a complete balance among graphic dimension, structural and functional packaging. The awards, presented by Nicola Savino, was held Thursday, the 14th of April at the Areapergolesi Milan place.
This 2011 edition was sponsored by the Istituto Italiano Imballaggio in collaboration with the faculty of design of Milan Polytechnic and sponsored by Conai, IULM and Ipack-Ima 2012, has seen awarded PET Engineering, in the special section “Environment” for the project developed along with San Pellegrino “LaLitro Levissima”.
The reasons of the award were the following:
“It ‘s the first example in Italy of using recycled PET , suitable for food purpose in the flat mineral water market. In a bottle of just 21 grams in weight, was used 25% of post consumer PET. It’s interesting to notice that , this information is effectively written on the label”.
The award was withdrawn by Mr. Fabio Chimetto, Application Group Manager of San Pellegrino, Mrs. Daniela Murelli, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager of San Pellegrino and Moreno Barel, CEO of PET Engineering Srl .
In addition to LALITRO, PET Engineering was also nominated for the homothetic NEW PET Levissima 50 CL NAT in collaboration again with the Group SanPellegrino.
