Vital, the leading water brand in Mauritius, launched a new range of functional waters targeting different consumer need states like health, beauty or wellness. While most marketers tend to focus on the coveted 18-34-year-old age group, Vital, with its VitalPlus, decided to target people over 30 including the Generation X, more interested in functional waters such as boosting water, water with vitamins for the skin and caffeinated water.
The choice of a more mature target by Vital influenced the choices of the design team of PET Engineering that, while developing the new packaging favored simple and minimal shapes for the bottle, whereas for the label, the creation a full body sleeve in which the ingredients are floating in infusion to highlight the “natural appeal” of the 4 proposals: Orange & Green Coffee, Peach & Hibiscus, Lemon & Ginger, Cucumber, Mint & Lime.
Vital + is therefore proposed as a brand extension of Vital, the water that since 1991 quenches the inhabitants of prosperous Mauritius, through a composition that contributes, as per the brand promise, to inner balance.
PET Engineering, in addition to the phases of prototyping and verification of the mechanical performances, was also involved in the supply of blow molds for a KHS Blowmax series IV.
